Moving
Everyone at Maryland Piano is a piano person. We know a piano is not just an object or a piece of furniture. It is a work of art and a means of expressing our most treasured sentiments through music. So when your piano is being moved, you don’t want it to be seen as a just another cabinet.

Maryland Piano’s movers specialize in pianos. We know how to maneuver your piano through even the most awkward spaces without damaging it or any of your property. We will also be happy to check the piano, free of charge, for any existing conditions that may need repairs.

We ask for some basic information in order to give you as accurate an estimate as possible. If you collect the following information before calling we can likely give you an accurate and instant estimate: The type of piano (grand or vertical) and the size (length for grand and height for vertical); The full addresses of both the pick-up and delivery locations; The number of steps and the number of turns at each location; Any travel distance on grass, gravel, or other irregular surfaces; Anything else you think may make the move problematic (fences, furniture, hills, vicious guard dogs, etc.).

Tuning
At Maryland Piano, we know the importance of upkeep and regular tuning, so we offer a full tuning and repair service. We can work with your schedule, Monday through Saturday, and we won’t keep you waiting.

As a member of the Piano Technician’s Guild, owner Phil Heiliger will ensure that his technicians are trained, experienced and able to provide every customer with personalized service.

Maryland Piano is a full-service piano company providing piano sales and service located in Columbia, Maryland. It is owned by Phil Heiliger, a long time registered craftsman with the Piano Technicians Guild. We offer both new and used pianos, featuring new Hallet Davis, Weber, Young Chang, and Palatino pianos at low, low sale prices. We also have a great selection of used pianos, spinets, consoles, uprights and grand pianos, which include Steinway, Yamaha, Kawai, Baldwin, Kimball, Wurlitzer as well as many other fine, inexpensive pianos. Our pre-owned pianos have been thouroughly inspected and reconditiond by our staff of professional piano technicians. We are partners with the Howard County School System, as well as providers for The Hippodrome Theatre, The Inner Harbor Marriott, The Baltimore Convention Center, The Rusty Scupper, Robert Oliver Restaurant, The Lyric Theatre just to mention a few. As a partner with the Howard County School System we provide pianos to the Howard County School System and have special piano sales for staff, parents and friends of the Howard County School System.
